Is this like public speaking class?
No. This isn't a classroom or a Toastmasters-style program. It's personalized coaching built around your goals. You'll learn proven communication frameworks, practice with real situations from your work and life, and receive direct feedback to accelerate your growth.
Is coaching virtual or in person?
Coaching sessions are held virtually, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world.
If you're local to Austin, you'll also have opportunities to attend live events, workshops.
Additionally, there are options which include Uplevel Intensives for a full day of in-person coaching and practice.
How much coaching do I receive?
A lot.
Your Academy membership includes: Three full months of personalized 1:1 coaching sessions taking you through 12 milestones. Two to Five weekly office hours with coaches. Weekly small-group coaching and practice sessions. Community support between sessions. An app for iPhones and Androids with direct access to coaches.
Over the course of a year, you'll have access to well over 150 live coaching opportunities, giving you ongoing feedback, accountability, and support.
How long does the program take, and when will I see results?
Most members notice measurable improvement within the first few weeks as they begin applying what they learn in real meetings, presentations, and conversations.
You have one year to complete the Academy, giving you flexibility around work and life. While everyone moves at a different pace, most members complete the core program in about 90 days, building confidence and momentum along the way.
Is this a group program and who will I work with?
The Academy is a personalized 1:1 coaching experience tailored to your goals. You'll also have access to optional community discussions, office hours, and group practice sessions for additional feedback and accountability, but your coaching plan is built specifically for you.
Depending on the program you join, you'll work with Mike or a certified Uplevel coach trained in the Academy's coaching methodology. Even if Mike Acker is not your primary coach, you will have access to working with him in office hours and group sessions.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. We stand behind the Academy.
If you complete no more than one coaching session and one milestones within your first 30 days and decide the program isn't the right fit, we'll refund your investment.
