Is this like public speaking class?
No. This isn't a classroom or a Toastmasters-style program. It's personalized coaching built around your goals. You'll learn proven communication frameworks, practice with real situations from your work and life, and receive direct feedback to accelerate your growth.
Is coaching virtual or in person?
Coaching sessions are held virtually, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world.
If you're local to Austin, you'll also have opportunities to attend live events, workshops.
Additionally, there are options which include Uplevel Intensives for a full day of in-person coaching and practice.
How much coaching do I receive?
A lot.
Your Academy membership includes 12 personalized 1:1 coaching sessions across 12 milestones, 4 weekly office hours with our coaches, and 2 weekly small-group coaching sessions — plus community support and an app with direct access to your coaching team.
Over the course of a year, that's well over 300 live coaching touchpoints available to you, giving you ongoing feedback, accountability, and support far beyond a typical course or program.
How long does the program take, and when will I see results?
Most members notice measurable improvement within the first few weeks as they begin applying what they learn in real meetings, presentations, and conversations.
You have one year to complete the Academy, giving you flexibility around work and life. While everyone moves at a different pace, most members complete the core program in about 90 days, building confidence and momentum along the way.
Is this a group program and who will I work with?
The Academy is built around two coaching tracks, so you can choose the level of access that fits you.
In the Performance Track, you're coached live by our certified Uplevel coaches with full access to Mike Acker through weekly office hours and small group sessions.
In the Executive Track, you work 1:1 with Mike Acker directly, with concierge-level support between sessions and an in-person intensive each year.
Either way, you're never just in a generic group program, you'll know exactly who's coaching you, and you'll always have real access to Mike Acker.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. We stand behind the Academy.
Complete your milestones, attend your coaching sessions, and show up to at least one office hour or small group per month. If you've done the work and we don't see measurable improvement, we'll keep coaching you free until we do.
